Happy New Year!

Mom had to run some errands on New Year's Eve, so Adam hung out with Dad. He was working so hard in his jumperoo that he broke a sweat and had to borrow Dad's headband.

On New Year's Day, Adam was all ready to watch the Pens play in the Winter Classic (thanks to Uncle Mark and Aunt Shana). Adam took a nap through the first period and then it was bedtime. He didn't miss much since the Pens lost anyway.

Christmas Day

Merry 1st Christmas to Adam! Today will be a day full of visitors. We have Christmas dinner at our house, so Adam will be able to lounge in his Christmas pj's all day long!

Mom and Dad helped Adam open gifts all day! He got gifts from Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpap D, Uncle Mark and Aunt Shana, Dina and Ron, Aunt Rosie and Uncle Lonnie, Lori and Noah, and Joe, Heather and Ryan. Thanks to everyone for the great gifts! We opened them all the next day so that Adam could try them all out.

One gift that he got was a bike from Uncle Mark and Aunt Shana. He loves his bike! When he gets fussy at night, we have found that putting him in it and riding around the basement calms him down. Chloe doesn't like it so much. She likes to bark at it! This summer, we can take our walks with Adam in his bike.

What a great Christmas!!

Christmas Eve

Today was Adam's first Christmas Eve. We stayed at home in the morning, and then headed to Grandma and Grandpap D's house. Dad needed to catch up on the Pens television program. Then, it was off to mass. Adam was pretty good considering we got there 45 minutes before mass started. Mom had to stand at the back of church for a little bit, but then Adam fell asleep for at least half of the mass.

After mass, we stopped back at Grandma and Grandpap D's house for a few quick pictures and to open a gift from the Parente's. Adam (and Dad) really liked the gift. It got Adam ready for the night ahead and tomorrow opening gifts. We also had to pick up Chloe!

Then, it was off to Aunt Kim and Uncle Joe's house. Grandma and Grandpap Wilson were there as well as Great Grandma. We had dinner and opened lot of gifts. Thanks to Grandma, Grandpap, Great Grandma, Aunt Kim, Uncle Joe, Jacob, Bianna, and Oreo for all of the great gifts! Adam had fun playing with his cousin, Brianna. When it got close to Adam's bedtime, it was time to head for home. Adam had to get to sleep so that Santa would come to his house.

Hanging Out with Chloe

This week, most of Adam's pictures were taken with Chloe.
Chloe just wouldn't get out of the way. Adam wanted to roll over, but Chloe already claimed her spot.

Mom was trying to take a picture of Adam with Pluto (a gift from Dan, Katie, and Tiffany Hainaut), but Chloe insisted on having her backside in the picture!

Adam loves his exersaucer now that Dad raised it up for him. Chloe likes when he is in it so that she can lick his face!

Sleeping in the Jumperoo

The busy weekend just wore him out! After playing in his jumperoo for almost thirty minutes, he just fell asleep. You wouldn't think that sleeping in a jumperoo would be that comfortable!

Eastman's Christmas Party

Today, Mom and Dad took Adam to Eastman's Christmas Party. He was all ready to go in this new outfit.

Both of his Grandmas came to see him sit on Santa's lap.

Even his cousin, Ryan, came to the party.

Once again, Adam fell asleep while we waited to see Santa. This time, he was just waking up when he sat on Santa's lap. You can tell that he wasn't quite ready to get a picture taken.

Tummy Time to Under the Tree

Tonight, Adam went from tummy time on his play mat to being under the Christmas tree playing with the ornaments. We tried to get a picture of him and Chloe both under the tree, but they were never at the right angle to get the picture. Adam looked at us like, "What is so excited. I am just under the tree."

Sweet Potatoes

Today was the first try at eating baby food. Our first food was sweet potatoes. Mom got just as much into Adam's mouth as she did on his face. The good news is that he really liked them.

Grandma and Grandpap D's Anniversary Dinner

Grandma and Grandpap's Anniversary is on December 6th, so we went to dinner on Saturday night. Grandma picked the Olive Garden. Adam took turns sitting on various laps throughout the dinner. Even the waitress said that he was so good!

Christmas Card Photo Shoot

After the Christmas party, we tried a mini photo shoot to get pictures to make our Christmas cards. These are the front runners so far.

Bettis Christmas Party

Today, Adam went to Dad's Christmas Party. He was all dressed up and ready to go.

We saw some of Mom and Dad's friends while we were there. Adam posed for a picture with Amy and Megan and then for one with Brianna and Alison.

Of course, Mom had to put the antlers on Adam.

Right after this picture, Adam fell asleep on Mom's lap. He continued to sleep while we were in line, while he sat on Santa's lap, and while we put him in his carseat to head for home.

First Cereal

After Adam's check-up, we came home and tried cereal for the first time. We did get some in our mouth, but most of it went on the bib. Adam did enjoy blowing raspberries with the cereal all over his mouth.

4-Month Doctor's Check-Up

Adam went for his 4-month check-up. He weighed 15 pounds 1 ounce and is 24.5 inches long. He had to get three shots and an oral dose. He did cry, but he was very good. He was pretty fussy that afternoon/evening, so Mom sent Dad for baby Tylenol. That helped to calm down our little man.

First Snow

Today was the first morning with snow on the grass. Mom was home by herself, so she tried to hold Adam and take the picture. It's a little close, but you get the idea.
